Steve J. Lan, DDS
“Dr. Steve” is a native of the Washington, D.C metropolitan area and is proud to now call Northern Virginia his home. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School. In his final year of dental school he completed an externship at the Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico, during which he provided care to impoverished children of Mexico City. It was through this experience that he discovered his desire to work with the children.Following dental school, Dr. Lan received his certificate in General Practice Residency from the Baltimore Veteran’s Hospital. He was proud to serve the men and women of the armed forces, and learned valuable skills in comprehensive dental care, including implants, prosthodontics, periodontal surgery, endodontic treatment, and oral surgery.
To pursue his desire to work with children, Dr. Lan then completed his specialist training in pediatric dentistry from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center in New York. While in residency, he received extensive training in all aspects of pediatric dental care including well children, developmentally disabled children, minor and major dental trauma, enteral sedation, IM/IV sedation, orthodontics and operating room experience. Dr. Lan enjoys teaching and educating both patients and colleagues, and has been recognized as a Leo M. Davidoff Society inductee for outstanding achievement in the teaching of medical students and as an Attending dentist on staff in the department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore program. Prior to moving to Northern Virginia, Dr. Lan worked in private practice as a pediatric dentist in Brooklyn, NY where he gained additional valuable experience.
In his spare time, Dr. Lan has been privileged to serve as a volunteer pediatric dentist at Loudoun Community Health Center, Special Olympics dental screening volunteer, Baltimore City youth mentor, and a Boy Scouts of America cubmaster and varsity coach. He has an additional skill of speaking fluent Mandarin Chinese. Dr. Lan currently resides in Leesburg, VA with his wife, Laurel, and 2 wonderful and energetic boys, Ethan and Camden.

Dawn is excited to be a part of the Loudoun Pediatric Dentistry team. Her professionalism and friendly service along with her 5 years experience in the dental field ensures you and your children a positive dental experience. Dawn is a proud mother of her daughter Madison and loving wife to her husband John. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends.Dental Assistant: Jenny Kamphuis
Jenny’s interest in dentistry began when she was a teenager living in Haiti helping volunteer dentists in dental clinics. After raising five children she decided to pursue this interest and found a job that offered on-the-job training in the general dentistry field. After moving from Illinois to Virginia she continued her training, moving into pediatric dentistry. Pediatric dentistry is where Jenny has found her niche. Each day Jenny prides herself on making a child's dental visit a pleasant and informative experience. She currently resides in Hamilton, VA with her husband and youngest son, a senior in high school, and her two Yorkies.
